Abdel Tamam

Born in 1944 and living in the town of Kafr Qasem, which experienced the massacre of its inhabitants by Israeli border guards in 1956.

He uses oil on canvas or works on paper, assembling images that tell the story of the massacre. He was imprisoned by Israel for his drawings about the massacre. While in jail, he made drawings about Vietnam, fearing further torture as a result of more work on the massacre.
