‘Abed ‘Abdi

‘Abdi is a Palestinian painter and sculpturer. He was born in Haifa in 1942.

 

He held his first exhibition in Tel-Aviv in 1962. Then he pursued his academic studies at the Fine Arts Academy in Dresden, Germany, where he specialized in murals and environmental sculpture.

 

In 1972 he returned to Haifa, and worked as a graphic designer, taught arts and designed murals.

 

 ‘Abdi received several awards and participated in several solo and group exhibitions, including the Exhibitions of “Solidarity with the Palestinian People” in Tokyo, Berlin, Brussels, Belgrade and Athens.

 

He has been teaching fine arts in the Arab Education College in Haifa since 1985.
